June Road Closure in Oliver's Battery
Oliver's Battery Parish Council has decided to re-surface the section of Compton Way between Oliver's Battery Gardens and and Priors Way. This is the very rough stretch leading down to the Recreation Ground and is technically not a road at all but a bridleway. Work is expected to start in June and take a couple of weeks.
Here is the road closure notice from Hampshire County Council:

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – Oliver’s Battery BRIDLEWAY 9
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council proposes to make an Order to allow for works in connection with repairs to the surface of the right of way to be undertaken, as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Part of Oliver’s Battery Bridleway 9 between its junction with Priors Way and its junction with Oliver’s Battery Gardens.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Not available.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 11 June for a period of one month or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
